Judson celebrated his 7th birthday this past Friday. Well, actually his birthday was Friday the 12th, but his party wasn't until Saturday. Friday night we went out as a family for pizza and ice cream. He also got to go to Target and spend his gift card he had gotten from Nana and Papa Sloan. He loves getting gift cards! He also wants to make sure he gets exactly the right thing. After spend an hour between 3 aisles of the toy section he finally decided on a Batman Wii game and a Lego set, and was very excited about his choice.
Saturday was the day of the fishing themed birthday party. After all of the friends and family arrived we let the kids play for a bit before letting them have their "dirt cups", worms and "fish and chips". After stuffing themselves we let Judson open his gifts. Most of the kids were too full to actually eat it, but Judson blew out his candles on his "digging for bait" cake.
Following cake and ice cream Todd and a few others took all the kids to a fishing spot near the house where the fished for a while before the rain came. Only one fish was caught, along with Judd's new fishing pole that had been cast right into the lake by one of Judson's buddies. Uncle Joseph managed to save the day and catch it on his hook. Thanks Uncle Joseph!
Judson had a great day and slept great that night too!! :)
