Thank Goodness for the Pool!

We have been spending a lot of time at the pool since it opened over Memorial Day weekend. It's been so hot already this summer that's it's been so great to have that here in the neighborhood. The kids love every minute of being in the water and I love how well they eat and sleep after we get home!

Judson's become my little fearless fish this summer. He decided he no longer needs his arm floats. At first it scared me, but he seems to get around just fine without them. His technique might not be Olympic grade, but he hasn't drowned so I consider that a success.

Ryann has been very reluctant to take off her floats, but just today, she climbed out of the pool, walked up to the lifeguard and asked if she could please teach her how to swim without her floats on. The lifeguard just thought that was so cute and a bit later hopped in the water and gave her about 10 minutes of her time to show her a few things. Ryann was so excited. She's still a bit hesitant to completely give up the floats, but I was really proud of her.
