Catching Up With Old Friends

We hosted a reunion this past Saturday evening for a very special group of friends. Todd and I met at our previous church's "single's group" called Banyan. Actually at that time it was just getting started and it was called "The Thursday Night Thang'". We started with a relatively small group of dedicated "kids" and it just continued to grow from there. Through this group Todd and I have made some very special and lasting friendships. Although we don't get to see each other as much as we'd like, with the years comes jobs, moves, kids and more, it was really cool to get as many of that core group together as possible, if only for the night. We had 47 people in attendance, including about 25 kids ranging from a few months old to pre-teen. It was chaos (the adults were out-numbered by the kids), but I loved every minute of it. What's the point of having a big house if you don't fill it with family and friends as much as possible? We are hoping to be able to make this reunion a yearly event and continue to be amazed at how God has truly blessed us all.
