Sloan New Years 09/10

We are usually in Georgia for Christmas, but this year things changed a bit, and we ended up getting there on the 29th and stayed through January 2nd. As soon as we arrived the kids were greeted with presents Santa had left for them under the tree. We got there pretty late so they played for just a bit before going to bed. The following day Todd and I designated as our "anniversary date day". We left the kids to be spoiled by Nana and Papa and spent the day doing some last minute Christmas shopping, having a very yummy lunch at a Japanese Steakhouse, one of our favorites, and going to a movie. It was a nice time together, celebrating 9 years together! That night Jason and Shelly arrived. We had dinner and then opened gifts.
New Year's Eve was spent relaxing at home, waiting for the night's festivities. We did sparklers with the kids and then put them to bed. All but Kathey managed to stay awake to watch the ball drop at midnight. We had a champagne toast and then headed to bed ourselves. We're not young anymore...it's not easy to stay up that late!
New Year's day was another day of relaxing. That night we had cake and had a little birthday celebration for Ryann and Jason who have birthdays a day apart.
The following day we got the jeep packed up, and I mean PACKED! I didn't think we were going to be able to fit everything, but somehow Todd managed it. We had a wonderful stay, as always!
