After returning from Christmas with the Sloans we got to start the festivities all over again with the Risch's. We had a couple days of rest before Michael arrived in town. Since Michael's flight arrived close to dinner time and our house is close to the airport we decided to spend the first night here. I LOVE having a house full of my family!! We had a soup night and just sat around catching up.
This year the uncles decided to change things up a bit for the kid's Christmas gift. Instead of getting them another toy they had planned a fun-filled day out with all their nephews and neice, all 5 of them. They took the kids on the train to uptown and spent the day at Discovery Place. They fed them lunch and had ice cream. The kids had such a great time getting to hang out with their cool uncles and I think the boys had a good time too! They were brave and survived it quite well. :)
Since we're Risch's I can't talk about a holiday without mentioning all the awesome food we consumed over the week we were all together. Besided all the cookies and candies mom makes we enjoyed several awesome meals. When Mike's in town mom likes to make the things he loves and doesn't get to eat as much when he's away. We had the complete "Thanksgiving" meal along with the classic roast beef dinner. Mom never disappoints and we're all grateful (and a few pounds heavier)! :)
It was a great week just getting to be with my whole family. It only happens about once a year and I love every minute of it!
